Hey my friends!

Day #10 we’re more than halfway done!!

​Did you know that there are now studies that show digestion actually begins when we smell food and when we look at it?

It’s so important to create a space, a time (even if you only have 10 minutes to eat) to slow down, to breathe and to give thanks for your food.

Even if you don’t believe in God, the very act of slowing down and treating to meal time as a sacred will begin to cause the peristalsis to begin as your salivary glands begin to create enzymes anticipating the meal you’re about to consume.

Native cultures connected to the earth from around the world didn’t eat junk food or fast food. They gave thanks for their meals, the very substance of their life. They were connected to the cycles of life through the food they ate.

In order to regain our health and our digestion we must give thanks for the meals that we create our cells from.

Instructions: For one of your meals today sit down, close your eyes, take a deep breath at least 5 times while thanking the food, God or the Universe (or all the above) for allowing you to continue to live by consuming your meal. Giving thanks is powerful. Take a picture of your meal and upload it to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #extremehealthchallenge (also add @extremehealthacademy) and then go back to Extreme Health Challenge.com and upload that photo there to gain more points!
