Tonsil Stones. Is there anything my husband can do to avoid getting tonsil stones? We’ve been told that he has pitting from scars from Strep throat as a kid and unless he gets his tonsils out, he will always get food stuck in these pits and it will calcify and create stones that he then has to knock out periodically. We are switching to a whole food plant-based diet… By tiffanihiggins@gmail.com

Gaps diet causing severe stomach pain. This month I started the intro gaps diet first time but had to stop because of severe stomach pain cramps nausea constipation and straining severe sugar cravings moodiness angry Low blood sugar. I have been put off the gaps diet now and want to try an alternative to help my asthma and adrenals. Anxieties constipation My acupuncturist asked me how my diet went I said I am really unhappy because it causes tummy ache she said it’s because my stomach is having difficulty digesting fats. After quitting the gaps diet I had homemade chips. I cooked it with beef tallow and 20 minutes later I got the same pain I had in the gaps diet same symptoms nausea constipation, painful tummy. By the way, I’m lactose intolerant. Been on medications I have asthma. I can tolerate coconut oil but not meat stock beef tallow. do I need digestive enzymes? By Feraya D.
Daily Aspirin. My father-in-law had a blood clot in his leg. Besides meds, he was told that people “his age” (’70s) should be taking a small amount of aspirin every day. Is aspirin safe? Perhaps there is a better, herbal supplement to keep his blood from clotting? By Kaya
Balancing supplements and Self-Diagnosis I would love to hear more about supplements, what do we need and how do we know if we need them. Many tutorials are singling out one specific supplement or another. Sounds like they’re all fantastic. What’s missing is an overview and how to apply this advice. For example, for many years I’ve been following Dr. Mercola’s advice on taking Vit D only to find out that I could be causing more harm than good unless I also take Vit K2. Morley Robbins says NOT to take it, as excessive vit D will knock out vit A -that’s bad- and what I really need is minerals. One side claims that most people are deficient in vit D, the other, that test results that say so are misleading. So am I deficient? And do I need a test for every single vitamin out there? Is there a safe-bet combination? By Kaya
Opioid and antidepressant withdrawal. I recently weaned myself off 15 years of antidepressants, and have been off completely for 3 weeks. Six months ago, I also got off opioids after being hooked on them for four years! I am feeling dizzy, nauseous, and of course restless, irritable, and discontent – but understand that is part of the withdrawal process. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help with the stomach issues I am having? I am always feeling discomfort in my stomach – sort of like I am constantly being punched, or like my intestines are being squeezed. I have been taking Kratom, and that helped tremendously with the opioid withdrawal, but don’t want to be dependent on that too long either. By lucram01
Update 2: Getting off Betaine, relaxing, and Alzheimer’s. I am happy because I am still free of the bad symptoms I mentioned before. It seems I am finally able to get to a chiropractor soon and won’t need Betaine HCL after it. However I was taking it for 2-3 months which is not good, but that is the only way I am free of symptoms. How should I get off of it, once I am rid of the stressors? Could you also recommend some exercises to preserve my good posture after chiropractor, so I do not ruin my spine again and also exercises before going to sleep, that helps my back to relax? Also, my grandfather has Alzheimer’s. He stopped taking blood pressure and cholesterol drugs and goes outside, but still in bad shape. He insists on eating a lot of white bread and meat. Any alternatives that taste similar but healthier? By Krisz
